Lacoste

René Lacoste was a highly successful and innovative tennis player. He was nicknamed "The Crocodile" due to his tenacity and determination on the tennis court. The nickname was given to him by fans after he made a bet with his Davis Cup captain that he would buy him a crocodile-skin suitcase if he won a particular match. That's where the signature Lacoste's logo came from. In 1933, René Lacoste and André Gillier officially launched the Lacoste brand. They began producing their tennis shirt, which featured a crocodile logo embroidered on the chest, inspired by René's nickname. The crocodile logo is one of the most recognizable logos in the fashion world. Over the years, Lacoste expanded its product range to include not only polo shirts but also a wide variety of clothing, footwear, and accessories. The brand's sporty and preppy style became synonymous with casual elegance. In addition to clothing and accessories, Lacoste is also known for its line of fragrances. Their fragrances often mirror the brand's sporty and elegant image. In 2023, the brand introduced a fresh apparel collection made in cooperation with Sporty & Rich and it's full of stylish sport clothing items.
