Clothing Pleasures

Pleasures launched its own line of menswear in 2015, at a pop-up shop in Los Angeles curated by Edison Chen. In 2016, the company released its "Version 4.0" collection inspired by a specific time frame from 1994-1998. Drawing inspiration from elements of grunge, metal, and punk music, the Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Pleasures caused quite a stir when it featured Kurt Cobain's suicide note on a t-shirt. Even though sceptics and grunge enthusiasts harshly denounced the young brand's insensitivity, the daring decision catapulted PLEASURES to unprecedented fame and put it on the map—as well as the backs of numerous fashion victims. Clothing pieces made by Pleasures provoke society in general. However controversial apparel may just be a passing craze, Pleasures has shown that it is still relevant.Their clothing ranges from monotone shirts, hoodies, and sweatpants to brighter, more seasonal moods. Their take on high-fashion streetwear is fresh. One look at their page and you’ll see what we mean. Its impact on streetwear culture has been marked not only by its distinctive and unique approach towards fashion but the various collaborations with brands such as Dr. Martens, Puma, Converse or HUF.
