FLEXDOG Favorites: Our Top 5 Sneakers of September 2022

Welcome to our latest segment, FLEXDOG Favorites, where we talk about some of the best sneakers releasing this month!

The market is absolutely booming at the moment. With countless pairs launching pretty much every week, it’s sometimes hard to keep track of what to cop and what to drop. With that said, FLEXDOG is going to make it easier than ever with these monthly guides. To kick things all off, we have some seriously hyped collaborations from the likes of Kanye West and Patta that you definitely do not want to miss.

Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "White"

To be honest, the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "White" didn’t actually release in September. It officially launched at the very end of last month, but we thought that it deserved a special mention. Made in collaboration with Dutch style icons Edson Sabajo and Guillaume Schmidt, this colorway is very similar to the “Friends & Family” edition that we caught a glimpse of over the summer. With a mesh and leather construction, these are part of the coveted “The Wave” collection and arrive with a wavy mudguard that surrounds the entire Air Max 1. A collaboration that will no doubt go down in the history books, get your pair right now.

Nike Dunk Low "Lottery"

Get lucky this month with the Nike Dunk Low “Lottery.” One of the latest colorways to hit the Beaverton basketball model, it has a pretty cool trick up its sleeve. Offered in a bold green and cream color scheme, a stark black Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial side panels of the Dunk Low. While Nike could’ve just left the design there, they went above and beyond for this release. Accompanied by a special branded coin, you can actually scratch off the Swoosh and reveal a hidden base layer underneath.

Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe "Archive"

Blurring the line between a piece of utility and a piece of footwear, the Tom Sachs x Nike General Purpose Shoe "Archive" is the second colorway to grace the all-new model. Made in collaboration with New York City-based contemporary artist Tom Sachs, the upper is painted in a vibrant “Dark Sulfur” hue while a chunky gum rubber midsole makes these perfect for everyday wear. While the General Purpose Shoe is certainly simpler in design compared to Sachs’ other Swoosh projects, it’s still a pretty amazing shoe in its own right.

Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Reverse Oreo"

Over the past few years, Kanye West has been playing around with mesh-infused 350 V2s. While the design was pretty cool to begin with, it started to get slightly repetitive. With this in mind, he went back to basics with his flagship model, referencing sneakers of the past to create colorways of the future, and that’s where the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Reverse Oreo." Taking the original 2016 “Oreo” colorway and completely inverting it, the result is an incredibly clean pair that deserves a spot in every sneakerhead’s rotation.

Air Jordan 3 Retro "Fire Red"

And last but not least, we have the Air Jordan 3 Retro “Fire Red.” One of the most iconic AJ 3s ever made, it was one of the original colorways that Tinker Hatfield designed for Michael Jordan back in 1988. MJ went on to earn MVP honors, Slam Dunk champion, and a Defensive Player of the Year award while wearing this exact colorway. With a white pebbled leather construction and red perforated panels throughout, you’ll be hard pressed to find a sneaker quite as legendary as this Air Jordan 3.
