Founded in 1982, Gramicci is a brand dedicated to the production of functional outdoor clothing. However, the impetus for its creation came in the 1970s. A group of adventurers and mountaineers called The Stonemasters wanted comfortable and functional clothing that would be great for climbing mountains. And so it was that one of the group, Mike Graham, set about designing a new line of outdoor clothing and the Gramicci brand was born. The brand name was derived from Graham's nickname.
