Air Jordan 5 Retro

After Tinker Hatfield's previous designs on Jordan silhouettes, some would say it couldn't get any better. Actually, it can. The Air Jordan 5 debuted in 1990 and everyone wanted them then, just like they do now. The inspiration for this pair was the shark-painted fighter jet that appears on the front of the midsole. The mesh on the side is similar to the Air Jordan 4 and offers better perforations while adding to the look. Another prominent feature is the 3M reflective tongue and the number 23 on the side. However, in some Nike Air Jordan 5 Retro retro releases, this detail has been replaced with "Nike Air" branding to pay homage to the original design. The silhouette has been released in various iconic colourways over the years, including the "Metallic", "Grape", and "Fire Red" iterations. These colourways have become highly sought after by collectors and sneaker enthusiasts alike. Even Michael Jacskon wore them. What's more?

Jordan

Jordan Brand was established in 1997 as a subsidiary of Nike, Inc., dedicated to creating a line of basketball shoes, clothing, and accessories inspired by Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The brand was launched to capitalize on Jordan's immense popularity and impact on both the sports and fashion worlds. Michael Jordan's partnership with Nike began in the early 1980s when he signed a deal, leading to the creation of the iconic Air Jordan line of sneakers. The Air Jordan 1 was released in 1985, and its innovative design and association with Jordan's on-court prowess and personality revolutionized the athletic footwear industry. The brand is mostly hyped thanks to their sneaker collection which features multiple Air Jordan models, each of them being distinguished by a number. Moreover, Jordan has a wide list of successful collaborations over the years. Dior, Off-White, Supreme and many more. It'd be hard to find a well-known brand which hasn't been involved with Nike and its subsidiary - the Jordan.
