Blazer

In the year 1973, the Blazers were the best and most technically advanced shoes you could see on a basketball court. They were named after the Portland Trail Blazers. George "Iceman" Gervin (San Antonio Spurs), one of the best shooting guards at the time, signed a contract with Nike and wore the Blazers until the end of his career. Gervin was well known for his cool approach at the game. Hence the nickname "Iceman", which they shared with the Blazers. Blazers are simple sneakers with full-leather upper, much of which is occupied by a giant swoosh logo. As sports shoe innovations went ahead, they left this model far behind, and most athletes switched to adidas or Jordans. Fortunately, the Blazers were taken on by skaters who gave them a renaissance without which they would fall into oblivion.

Nike SB

The idea for Nike SB was inspired by two key events in the late 1990s – the resurgence of skateboarding's popularity and the release of the Nike Dunk, a basketball shoe that skateboarders began to adopt for its design and durability. Nike SB officially launched in March 2002 with four initial Dunk Low Pro colorways. This marked Nike's dedicated entry into the skateboarding market. Nike SB has collaborated with numerous professional skateboarders, such as Paul Rodriguez, Stefan Janoski, and Eric Koston, to create signature shoe models tailored to their individual skateboarding styles. In 2023, the brand launched another collaborative Dunk silhouette with Yuto Horigome - the winner of the first Olympics in skateboarding. Its devotion to skateboarding got Nike SB to launch a dedicated app called "Nike SB" to cater to the skateboarding community. The app provides skate-related content, news, and product releases. The brand is known for its creative and unique themes for sneaker releases. Some themes have included fast food chains like McDonald's and Starbucks, as well as collaborations with skate shops and artists.
