Space Hippie

Artifact from the future. Nike has set a goal of creating a shoe that leaves the lowest possible carbon footprint and at the same time, gives the wearer the opportunity for the best performance and does keep the famous Nike aesthetics. In June 2020, they presented to the world futuristic sneakers inspired by life on Mars. Everything from the materials used through the production processes all the way to the packaging is influenced by common idea – sustainability. Designers feel a certain responsibility towards the planet whose materials they consume. That's why they recycle scraps, plastic bottles and T-shirts to make Space Hippies. The sole intentionally resemble moon boots, while the Flyknit upper reflects earthy tones of brown and grey with strong accents of light orange, used for details.
