Jordan

Jordan Brand was established in 1997 as a subsidiary of Nike, Inc., dedicated to creating a line of basketball shoes, clothing, and accessories inspired by Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time. The brand was launched to capitalize on Jordan's immense popularity and impact on both the sports and fashion worlds. Michael Jordan's partnership with Nike began in the early 1980s when he signed a deal, leading to the creation of the iconic Air Jordan line of sneakers. The Air Jordan 1 was released in 1985, and its innovative design and association with Jordan's on-court prowess and personality revolutionized the athletic footwear industry. The brand is mostly hyped thanks to their sneaker collection which features multiple Air Jordan models, each of them being distinguished by a number. Moreover, Jordan has a wide list of successful collaborations over the years. Dior, Off-White, Supreme and many more. It'd be hard to find a well-known brand which hasn't been involved with Nike and its subsidiary - the Jordan.

Banned from NBA loved by people

Jordan is one of the brands whose legacy grows with generations. The very first pair of Jordan sneakers was released in 1985 and ever since then they've been a part of the streetwear culture. The most famous and highly purchased silhouette is definitely the Air Jordan 1. As it is obvious from their name, this model was presented as the first one. It was designed by Peter Moore and has since become an iconic symbol of sneaker culture. The Air Jordan 1 gained notoriety when NBA Commissioner David Stern banned Michael Jordan from wearing them on the court due to their "non-regulation" colours. Nike used this controversy to create buzz around the shoe's rebellious image. The Air Jordan 1 was initially released in three colorways: "Bred", "Chicago", and "Black Toe". These classic colour combinations set the tone for future sneaker designs. Collaborations with Travis Scott, Off-White or Dior have only strengthened their position within the fashion and streetwear community in general. Many famous names collaborated with Jordan and gave fresh designs for multiple silhouettes, including also the Air Jordan 4. Eminem, UNDFTD, Kaws, those are people who stand behind some of the greatest releases of AJ4. The silhouette was among the first models to receive the laser print treatment, where intricate designs were etched onto the upper material, adding a unique and artistic touch to the shoe. The Air Jordan 4 has remained a favourite among sneaker enthusiasts and collectors, with its mix of history, design innovation, and cultural significance contributing to its enduring appeal.
