Nike

Nike, a global athletic footwear and apparel company, has a rich and fascinating history that dates back to 1964. The company was founded by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight under the name "Blue Ribbon Sports". Later on in 1972 it was officially named Nike, as we know it today. The iconic Nike Swoosh logo, designed by Carolyn Davidson, was introduced in 1971 and quickly became one of the most recognizable and enduring symbols in the world. Nowadays Nike is a global leader in athletic footwear, apparel, equipment and accessories. The brand has also collaborated with numerous athletes, celebrities, and fashion designers, further cementing its influence in popular culture. Collaborations with athletes like Serena Williams, LeBron James, and Cristiano Ronaldo, as well as fashion designers like Virgil Abloh and Sacai, have resulted in iconic and sought-after collections. Through its continuous commitment to pushing boundaries, embracing creativity, and promoting inclusivity, Nike remains a dominant and influential force in the sports and fashion industries, inspiring athletes and individuals around the globe to "Just Do It." It's no wonder that iconic models like the Air Force, Dunk and Cortez are historic milestones in the sneaker world.

The top tier Nike sneakers

Nike has introduced a great number of sneaker silhouettes since its establishment in the year 1964. Some of the Nike shoes turned out to be widely popular with a significant impact on fashion and sports culture. They've simply influenced generations of people. The Nike Air Force 1 sneakers are one of those and have been on the market for over 4 decades now. Even though it's a model that retails for a reasonable and affordable price, some special edition releases can climb up to have astronomical values. One of the most expensive is Virgil Abloh's Louis Vuitton design, the “Monogram Brown Damier Azur” - $300k. Nike's affection towards basketball shoes is nothing new. Following the AF1, Nike Dunk Low was another ground breaker. Originally created for the courts, later on loved by the skate community, ended up being annually released under the Nike SB division. There are countless models that combine this model's signature two-tone colour scheme plus more complicated designs . The brand's highly popular partnership with Travis Scott allowed the rapper to give his take on the Dunk's silhouette. Although brands like Supreme, Stussy or CDG have released their designs of the famous shoe as well. Nike is not only a master of collabs, but a revolutionary producer too. A while ago they developed a cushioning technology, the “Air Sole”. It is a key feature in many of their athletic shoe models, including the Nike Air Max line. The Air Max 90 and the Air Max 95 are the two models which turned out to be among the most popular within the mentioned line.
