KENZO

Kenzo Takada, a Japanese designer, founded the Kenzo brand in 1970 in Paris, France. The first boutique, "Jungle Jap," opened its doors, showcasing Kenzo's vibrant and innovative designs. Takada's Japanese heritage played a significant role in shaping the brand's aesthetic. Traditional Japanese motifs, colours, and craftsmanship became integral elements of Kenzo's designs. Beyond fashion, Kenzo has expanded into a lifestyle brand, offering fragrances, home goods, and accessories that reflect the brand's distinctive aesthetic. His early runway shows featuring models from diverse cultural backgrounds challenged industry norms and paved the way for a more inclusive fashion landscape. To widen its audience, Kenzo teamed up with H&M to create more affordable clothing designs. The Kenzo x H&M collection stayed true to the brand's DNA, featuring vibrant colours, bold prints, and the iconic tiger motif. The collection encompassed a diverse range of clothing, including dresses, outerwear, accessories, and the highly sought-after Kenzo Tiger Sweatshirt.
