In 1982, Bruce Kilgore (designer) decided to design a basketball shoe that would stand out with its appearance. At the time, he was the first to use air technology for basketball sneakers. The most famous colour combination to this day is white on white, despite the fact that the shoes received countless colourways and collabs.
