The ZX series started in 1984 as a pure running shoe. Jacques Chassaing and Markus Thaler further divided the series into training and competition models. These were specified according to whether you were looking for pronation or supination support while running. Finally, it was possible to distinguish them by the names and colours of Cushion (blue), Support (yellow), Guidance (green), and Racing (red). They used the Torsion system, which provides runners with the necessary support and Soft Cell technology for suspension, and ushered in a new era of running shoes.
